Considering the complementarity and the interdisciplinary structure of the two research teams with expertise and interests in various compatible directions, DEVEUROMD project is expected to:

• Increase the awareness regarding best European practices oriented toward: eliminating waste in resource exploitation and improving the performance of production factors, reducing income disparities, while increasing social equity and inclusion or the importance of renewable resources in designing solutions for the future;
• Identify the essentially integrative policies centred on the social, economic and environmental dimensions, able to ensure the harmony and coherence of the sustainable development process at the country level;
• Develop the premises for future international cooperation by accessing further funds within the research-development programmes at the European level.​
